ABSTRACT
STUDY AIMS AND OBJECTIVES/RESEARCH QUESTIONS
The aim of this study was to examine the effect of digital techniques in the development of Indian wildlife photography. The study is conducted explicitly applying secondary research. The research has attempted to achieve the following objectives: to conduct literature review as regards the effect of digital techniques in the development of wildlife photography; to conduct analysis review as regards the effect of digital techniques in the development of Indian wildlife photography; and to extend implications for Indian wildlife photographers using digital techniques. Further the study has attempted to answer the following research questions: how digital technologies have transformed wildlife photography in India; what are the digital technologies available for wildlife photography in India; how effective are digital technologies in transforming wildlife photography in India in terms of cost; and how effective are digital technologies in transforming wildlife photography in India in terms of speed and time.
RESEARCH DESIGN/METHOD/DATA COLLECTION
Adopting the inductive design, the exploration and investigation in this study was made in the research regarding the problem statement the effect of digital techniques in the development of Indian wildlife photography. Applying qualitative method, the researcher conducted secondary research using obtainable sources of secondary research. For collecting secondary data in this inductive-qualitative study the researcher made use of different sources of secondary data secondary data considering the easily accessible and published very recently. The qualitative analysis was conducted in the form of content analysis tool using which the collected data was analysed with reference to the conjectures emerged from the literature relating to the research questions.
MAJOR FINDINGS/IMPLICATIONS
Indian wildlife photography is truly transforming from hand-held digital or old-style dial calipers and most recent digital cameras, considering the advancement, handiness and speed. However, Indian scene is a long way to go in the field of capitalizing on advantages of digital photography in wildlife photography, so far as comparing with European and US cases are concerned. In the case of India that the best cameras for wildlife photography are the digital SLRs., where the one utter must feature that photographers need to look for is a fast continuous autofocus, which assists them track fast moving animals without losing focus. Indian wildlife photographers too find digital technologies or digital camera more cost effective than conventional cameras. However, dust is the major problem in the process of taking wildlife photography with digital camera, and as well as there is problem of obtainability of cost effective, handy and time efficient models of digital camera.
